Strawberry Cake

Strawberry cake
125g butter
1/2 cup caster sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla essence
2 cups self raising flour
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup fresh strawberries, pureed

Method:
1. Preheat oven to 180˚C
2. Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy
3. Add eggs and vanilla essence and beat until smooth.
4. Fold in flour and milk.
5. Add pureed strawberries. Mix well
6. Pour into greased baking tin.
7. Bake for 40-45 minutes.

Omurice

Marinade

2 tsp light soy sauce

1 tsp cornflour

1 tsp sugar

salt, to taste

pepper, to taste

1. Mix chicken with marinade for 15 minutes. Set aside

Tomato rice

230gm chicekn, diced

1/2 onion, diced

1 tsp minced garlic

5 to 6 button mushrooms, sliced

1 Tbsp Japanese white rice wine

1 can tomato, 400 gm

2 Tbsp tomato ketchup

1 bay leaf

75 gm frozen green peas

2 1/2 rice bowls hot steamed rice, cooked with less water

Heat oil in frying pan over medium heat.
Add onion and cook until translucent. Push to sides of pan.
Add some oil in the middle of pan. Saute garlic until fragrant.
Add chicken, cook until colour changed.
Pour in wine and stir well. Let chicken absorb wine.
Toss in mushrooms and stir well.
Add tomato and ketchup. Cook until sauce reduces and thickens, uncovered.
Season with salt and pepper by taste.
Add green peas and cook briefly.
Add rice, separate them and mix well with sauce.
Transfer into three bowls for later use.

Fried Eggs:

6 eggs
6 tsp thickened cream
salt, to taste

Beat 2 eggs with cream and salt.
Heat oil in a non-stick frying pan (skillet).
Pour the egg mixture in pan , quickly stir the egg with chopsticks. Immediately, spread the egg and make a round omelet by moving the pan around.
When the egg is 90% done, remove from heat.
Place one bowl of fried rice in the middle of the omelet.
Fold top and bottom sides of omelet over the rice.
Tilt the pan and let the omurice slide to the side of the pan. Hold a place next to the side of pan. Quickly turn the omurice over to the plate.
Drizzle some ketchup on top of omurice before serving. Repeat this step to make three plates of omurice.

Black Forest Cake

Black Forest Cake

Chocolate Sponge Cake
4 eggs
3/4 cups sugar
1 cup plain flour
2 tbsp cocoa powder
1 tsp cream of tartar
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp butter

Method:
1. Preheat oven to 180˚C
2. Beat eggs on high speed until thick
3. Gradually add sugar, beating constantly, mixture until pale and creamy.
4. Sift plain flour, cocoa powder, cream of tartar and baking soda into a separate bowl.
5. Add sifted dry mixture into the creamy mixture.Gradually beat with a mixer.
6. Add milk and butter into mixture and beat until combined.
7. Pour into a pre-greased round cake pan.
8. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
9. Once done, removed from pan and allow it to cool completely.

Filling
670g jar morello cherries
2 tbs sugar
1 tbs cornflour
200ml whipped cream

Method:
1. Drain the cherries,BUT RESERVE 2/3 cups of juice.
2. Place the cherries, reserved juice, sugar and cornflour into a saucepan.
3. Stir on medium heat until mixture boils and thickens.
4. Transfer it into a bowl, cover with plastic and allow it to cool in the fridge.
5. Slice sponge cake into three layers.
6. Place bottom layer on a cake stand. Pour 1/2 of the filling on the cake, then spread a layer of whipped cream. Repeat this step for second layer. Last, top up with top layer.

Decoration
400ml whipped cream
50g chocolate bar, for shaving.
6 ferrero rocher
3 similar size strawberries

Method:
1. Cover cream over the three layer cake, smoothen it.
2. Top it with shaved chocolate.
3. Slice strawberries into half. Place in on cake leaving space for ferrero rocher in between..
4. Place ferrero rocher in between strawberries.
5. Chill in fridge until served.

Chocolate Chunks Cupakes * that melts in ur mouth*

Chocolate Chunks Cupcakes
3/4 cup milk
125g butter
1egg
1 cup sugar
1 1/4 cup of self raising flour
1 tsp baking powder
2 tbsp cocoa powder
150g chocolate, chopped in chunks

Methods:
1. Preheat at 190 ˚C
2. Mix all the ingredients above( except chocolate chunks) in a large bowl
3. Scoop them into muffin tray with linings.
4. Bake for 20-25 minutes.
5. Best serve when warm-heat up in the microwave for 10 seconds before serve to get the melted chocolate effect in mouth

Chocolate Hot Cross Bun

Chocolate Hot Cross Bun
3/4 cups of warm milk
7 g sachet of dry yeast
pinch of salt
pinch of sugar
3 cups of plain flour
1 tbsp cocoa powder
1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
60 g butter
1 egg
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup chocolate chips
chocolate fudge/ hazelnut spread for crosses

Method:
1. Whisk milk, dry yeast, a pinch of sugar and salt in a large bowl.
2. Sift plain flour, cocoa and cinnamon powder in another large bowl.
3. Add milk mixture, flour mixture, sugar, butter and eggs. Knead it into a dough.
4. Cling wrap bowl with dough in it, placed it some where warm and leave it for an hour or until size doubles.
5. Punch down dough to its original size. Add chocolate chips. Knead well until combined.
6. Divide dough into 12 even pieces. Roll them into a ball.
7. Place then in a baking tray with roughly 1.5cm apart from each other.
8. Again cling wrap tray, placed it some where warm and leave it for 30 minutes or until size doubles.
9. Bake it at 200˚C for 20 minutes
10. Use chocolate fudge/ hazelnut spread to draw crosses on top of buns.

Sushi

Sushi Rice
600 g sushi rice
750 ml water
1/2 cup rice vinegar
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 tsp salt

Method:
1. Wash sushi rice. Then add 750ml and cook it in a rice cooker.
2. Mix rice vinegar,sugar and salt together.
3. Add rice vinegar mixture into cooked rice (while it is still hot). Mix it.
4. Allow it to cool.

Egg omelette
2 large eggs
1/2 tsp sugar
1/3 tsp soy sauce

Method:
1. Whisk egg, sugar and soy sauce.
2. Heat pan (preferably square) up. Once heated, add oil.
3. Pour egg into a pan and even it.
4. Turn to low heat to allow egg to cook.
5. Roll it.

Sushi
3 seaweed sheets
rice (as above)
egg( as above)
2 crab stick
soy sauce
japanese mayo

Method:
1. Wrap like normal

Oreo cupcakes
150g unsalted butter, at room temperature
1 cup milk
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 1/4 cups plain flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 2/3 cup sugars
3 large egg whites, at room temperature
34 oreo cookies

Method
1. Twist apart 24 oreo cookies. Place the waffer with cream, cream facing upwards, on each cupcake liner. Save the other waffer for toping.
2. Quarter the other 10 oreo cookies.
3. Preheat oven at 180˚C
4. Cream butter and sugar until fluffly with mixer.
5. Add milk and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
6. Add flour, baking powder and salt. Mix until smooth.
7. Add egg whites. Mix until smooth.
8. Add quarter cookies. Stir with spatula.
9. Fill cupcakes liner three-quarter full.
10. Bake for 20 minutes

Oreo Frosting

1/2 cup butter

2 cups icing sugar

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

1 tbsp water

6 crushed oreos

Mix everything to together until smooth.

Cotton Cheesecake

Cotton Cheesecake
Cheese Mixture
250g cream cheese
50g butter
100ml milk
6 egg yolks
20g cornflour
40g plain flour
1/2 tbsp lemon juice
1/4 tsp salt

Egg white mixture
6 egg whites
1/4tsp cream of tartar
140g caster sugar

Method
1. Melt butter, cream cheese and milk over double boiler. Once melted, allow it to cool.
2. Add egg yolks,cornflour,plain flour,lemon juice and salt in to cream cheese mixture. Mix it until smooth.
3. In a clean bowl, add cream of tartar into the egg whites. Whisk it until foamy.
4. Add sugar and whisk until soft peak.
5. Mix both cream cheese and egg white mixture.
6. Bake it at 160˚C in water bath for 1hr and 10 min.Cover cake tin with aluminium foil to avoid the top from burning.

Chocolate Souffle

Serve : 4

Crème pâtissière

10g cornflour

100ml warm milk

100g dark chocolate, chopped

40g egg yolk

Egg white mixture

100g egg white

75g caster sugar

unsalted butter

shaved chocolate, extra

cocoa powder

Method

1. Preheat oven at 180˚C

2. Grease 4 ramekins with unsalted butter and chill them in the refrigerator for 5 minutes. Grease a second layer of butter. Cover it with shaved chocolate to prevent soufflé from sticking onto the ramekins.

3. Add cornflour and warm milk into a small pot. Slowly bring it to boil, continuously stirring, Boil it for 30 seconds then remove from heat.

4. Add chopped chocolate then whisk until smooth.

5. Add egg yolk. Allow it to cool.

6. In a clean mixing bowl, whisk egg white until soft peak.

7. Gradually add sugar and whisk it until you have a thick and glossy mixture.

8. Gradually fold in egg white mixture in creme patissiere.

9. Scoop mixture into ramekins and bake it for 8 minutes or until well risen with a wobbly centre. Remove from oven and dust with cocoa powder.

10. Optional: Serve with ice cream(:

Steamed Yam Cake

Steam Yam/Taro Cake( Poh's receipe)
1 1/2 cup rice flour
1/2 cup cornflour
1 litre water
4 tbsp vegetable oil
1 cup dried shrimp(soaked in hot water, squeezes and finely chopped)
400g yam diced
1 tsp chinese five spices powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
1/3 cup chopped spring onions
3 tbsp roasted peanuts,crushed
3 tbsp fried shallots
1 mild chilli finely chopped(optional)

Method:
1. Mix rice flour, cornflour and water into a big mixing bowl.
2. Saute dried shrimp in oil in a deep pan till slightly coloured and fragrant.
3. Add yam, five spices, salt, sugar and flour batter.
4. Cook on medium heat, stirring and scrapping the side of the pan continuously til the mixture becomes a thick starchy paste.
5. Transfer it into a round/square tin. Smooth the top with a spatula
6. Steam it for 40-45 minutes
7. Sprinle spring onions, peanuts,shallots and chilli over the top.
8. Cut into into pieces and serve with chilli sauce.

Cinnamon Roll

Cinnamon Roll
Dough
3 1/2 cups plain flour
2 tbsp sugar
50g butter(softened)
3 tsp yeast
1 tsp salt
1 egg(room temperature)
275ml milk (warmed in microwave for 20 seconds)

Method:
1. Mix all the ingredients using an electric mixer.
2. Cover mixing bowl containing dough with cling wrap.
3. Leave it in a warm place until it has doubled in size.
4.Using a rolling pin and roll it into a rectangular shape.

Filling
50g butter(softened)
1/2 cup brown sugar
1tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 cup sultanas

Method:
1. Creamed softened butter,sugar and ground cinnamon.
2. Spread over the rolled out dough.
3. Sprinkle sultanas.
4.With the longest side facing you, roll the dough into a log shape, pinching the end to seal.
5. Cut the dough into 12 even sized.
6. Allow the size of dough to double again.
7. Bake it for 15-20 minutes at 190˚C.

Icing
1/2 cup icing sugar
2 tsp water/milk

Method:
1. Mix icing sugar with milk/water.
2. Drizzle buns with icing mixture.

Creamy Alfredo

Creamy Alfredo
50g butter
1tbsp cornflour
300ml milk
150ml cream
4tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
Freshly black ground pepper
4tbsp sheredded fresh basil
400g deied spaghetti/fettucine

Method
1. Cook spaghetti/fettucine according to packet instruction.
2. Drain well, and wash with cold water.Leave aside.
3. Melt butter in a saucepan, when foaming, remove from heat.
4. Stir in cornflour.
5.Mix in a little of the milk until evenly blended and then stir in the rest of the milk
6. Put the saucepan back over low heat and bring it to boil, whisking constantly until the sauce thickened and smooth.
7. Remove from the heat, stir in cream and parmesan.
8. Add spaghetti/fettucine over cheese sauce and place over low heat.
9. Toss the pasta well until well coated in the sauce and piping hot.
10. Season with freshly ground pepper and shredded basil.

2. Place all ingredient into a large mixing bowl.
3. Beat them until smooth

5. Bake for 60-75 minutes or until springy when touch.

Chocolate Mousse Filling
1/4 cup cream
100g dark chocolate,chopped
1/2 cup extra cream, whipped

Method
1.Melt cream and chocolate in a saucepan over heat.
2. Allow it to cool slightly
3. Fold in whipped cream.
4. Cover and chill in refrigerator for 30 minutes
5. Allow cake to cool, then cut into half horizontally.
6. Spread mousse in between the two layers.

Chocolate Ganache Icing
1/2 cup cream
200g dark chocolate, chopped

Method
1. Place cream in saucepan
2. Bring it to boil.
3. Remove heat, cool slighty.
4. Add chocolate, stir until melt.
5. Ler it cool until thickens.
6. Spread over cake.

* Dust icing sugar on top if you wish

Blueberry Cheesecake

200g shortbread ,crushed
1/4 cup sugar
100g butter, melted

Cheese Filling
500g cream cheese
1/2 cup sugar
1 lemon, juiced
1tbsp gelatine
1/2 cup boiling water
300ml cream
1 cup blueberries (frozen/fresh)

Method
1. Crush shortbread in a food processor.
2. Mix sugar and butter to crushed shortbread.
3. Spread over a buttered cake tin.
4. Beat cream cheese, sugar and lemon juice in a big bowl until smooth.
5. Dissolved gelatine in boiling water. Add into cream cheese mixture.
6. In another large bowl, whip cream until thickens.
7. Crush blueberries.
8. Mix whipped cream,blueberries and cream cheese mixture together.
9. Pour over crumb base.
10. Freeze for at least 6 hrs or until firm.

Curry Puff

300g diced chicken pieces
2 diced onions
300g diced potatoes (boiled)
100g diced carrots(boiled)
50g peas
6 tsp curry powder
1 1/4 tsp salt
water (to make filling moist)

Pastry
500g sifted plain flour
230g butter
1/2 tsp salt
125ml water

Methods
1. Rub butter in flour and salt until it resemble bread crumbs.
2. Add water and knead into a dough.(Add more water if necessary)
3. Place dough into refrigerator for 30 minutes.
4. While the dough is in the refrigerator, heat some oil in a pan.
5. Saute onions.Add in chicken pieces,salt and curry powder.
6. Then add potatoes,carrots and peas.
7. Add water if necessary.
8. Allow filling to cool.
9. Remove dough after 30 minutes, cut dough into 20 portions.
10. Roll each portion one by one, fill them with filling.
11. Deep fry.

Apple Custard Crumble

Apple crumble

6 apples

4 tbsp sugar

1cup flour

100g of butter

a pinch of salt

Methods:

1. Wash,peel and cut apples into cubes ( to prevent apple from oxidising, add sprinkle lemon juice on it)

2. Mix 2 tbsp of sugar and apple into a saucepan and cook it on low fire until soft and mushy

3. Add 1 tsp of water if bottom in burnt**

4. Set it aside to cool.

5. Mix salt, remaining sugar and flour.

6. Rub in the butter until it resembles bread crumbs.

7. Bake it at 180˚C for 20-25 minutes or until top turns golden brown.

Vanilla custard

1 egg yolk

1 cup of milk

1 tsp of cornflour

2 tbsp sugar

1/2 tsp vanilla essence

Method:

Add of the ingredients in a saucepan and cook it low fire by stirring it. Do not allow it to boil.

1. Whisk plain flour and baking powder.

5. Add flour mixture. Beat
6. Cling wrap mixture and place in fridge for at least 4 hours or until firm
7. Use a cookie cutter to cut dough.
8. Bake it 10-12 minutes at 190˚C.

Hey guys, my grandaunty has not been feeling very well for the past few weeks. She has totally lost her appetite and now they are feeding her with a thru the nose. The doctors has also tried giving her glucose drip but nothing seems to work right now. But she is already 91 yrs old so all of these problem might be just due to old age.

She was like a grandma to me. She took care of me since young, i can remember sleeping over at her place during the holidays.Waking up early in the morning just to go the market with her, then she prepare breakfast for me. After breakfast,i will watched her prepare all kinda of different kuihs. After lunch, we will take a nap together. After dinner,we will watch tv together and drink a cup of milo before we go to bed. Life was just simple and happy:)

But do pray for her salvation and healing if it's God will.

I m really scare because she is very close to me and i really dun wanna loose her at the same time i know that she cant stay here on earth forever. God has His own timing and she will have leave this earth one day. I'll just have to trust God that everything will be alright :)

Sticky Date Pudding with Butterscotch Sauce

Sticky Date Pudding

180g dates, pitted and roughly chopped

1¼ cups water
½ tsp bicarbonate of soda
¾ cup firmly packed brown sugar
60g butter, softened chopped
2 eggs
1 cup self-raising flour

Method:
1. Preheat oven 180˚C
2. Place dates and water in a saucepan and bring to the boil over a high heat. Remove from the heat. Add bicarbonate of soda, stir until dates start to break down, set aside to cool, stirring occasionally.
3. Beat butter and sugar, gradually add eggs one at a time, until light and fluffy.
4. Add date mixture,stir to combine, carefully fold in flour.
5. Place mould in baking tray and fill water in baking trar until it covers 1/3 of the mould.
6. Bake in oven for 40 minutes.

Butterscotch sauce
50g butter
1 cup (220g) brown sugar
1 cup (250ml) cream
1 tsp vanilla extract

Method:
Place all ingredient in a saucepan over low heat. Once dissolve, bring it to boil until sauce become creamy.

This afternoon while i was in prayer group, it suddenly made me realise why wasnt my prayer answered by God. ok, here's the story:

I have been asking God to help me 'forget' about him, so that i wont be distracted/wondering off in a dream world which does not exist. I really want to concentrate on my studies as exams are in a month's time. sob sob:'( Then i remembered as Yvette lead the openning prayer, she asked God to lay in our hearts anything that is burdening His heart. I asked myself, is this what he wants?Then I realised that i have been prayering for what i want, not what he wants. Doesnt God knows the best for us?Then why am i still praying for what i want? Mayb its becos it easier to do so? then i would know what the outcome is. It sounds scary not knowing what the future will be like. But that's having faith,isn't it? Letting go of the steering wheel that i have been grabbing on and surrendering it to God so that He can steer my life for me according to His plans. Its easier said than done. Let me encourage you to pray according to His will and not yours :)

Hey guys, i would like to share to you how real God is.

I used to so afraid of praying out loud in front of people. But i know its really good to pray out loud, so that everyone can agree with you. so last night during cell, my cell leader asked me and cheryl to pray for jen and jon as they are going back to sg for the wedding. I was so scare and my heart started pumping really really fast and i was the last one to pray, after rachel and cheryl. I was so worried cos i didnt know what to pray about as both of them had already prayed all the prayer point. One bad habit i have is that i will usually paraphase what i want to say before actually saying it out. This is wrong!!! Anyway, i started praying, thinking that it was going to be a short one, but seriously i cant believed that those words came out from my mouth. and I believe that God Himself gave me those words so that i will pray what he wants me to pray for. Oh gosh, it so amazing what God can do! Pray as the spirit lead:) Exciting things are happening,man!

I still remember we used to order orange butter cake and chocolate cake from our maid's fren who married a malaysian. It was our all time favourite, we would always order it for any special occasion.I can still remember the smell of orange butter cake that filled the entire house everytime we bought it,even my grandad loves it. That was what triggered me to try out this recipe

Butter Orange Cake
195g plain flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
170g butter(softened)
225g sugar
1 large egg + 1 egg yolk
1 1/2 tbsp orange zest
12 tbsp milk

Methods:
1. Preheat oven at 190˚C
2. Whisk flour,salt and baking powder
3. Beat butter and sugar until fluffy.
4. Add orange zest. Mix
5. Add egg and egg yolk. Mix
6. Add 1/3 flour mixture alternating with milk. Mix Repeat this step 3 times
7. Beat mixture until smooth
8. Bake for 40 minutes.

*Cover the cake with foil if top turns brown too quickly.

Honey Joy
90g of butter
1/3 cup of sugar
1 tbsp of honey
4 cups of Corn Flakes

Methods:
1.Preheat oven to 150°C.
2. Melt butter, sugar and honey together in a saucepan until frothy.
3. Add Corn Flakes and mix well.
4. Working quickly spoon into paper patty cases.
5. Bake in a slow oven 150°C for 10 minutes.
6. Leave it to cool.

Life has been pretty much stressful. I just finish 2 exams today and i have to start studying for another exam :( Midsem-Lab Reports-Essay. Sometimes, i just feel lik digging a hole and hide myself under it, pretending that all of these workload will just go away by itself. If only that was possible, life would have been so much easier. But thank God , i am still smiling because I am not alone. God is Here!

Fried carrot cake

Carrot cake
2 cups of shredded radish/daikon
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp white pepper
3 tbsp oil
2 cups of rice flour
2 cups of water

Methods:
1. Place shredded radish into a food processor or blender
2. Heat the wok. Pour oil into wok and give it a swirl so that the side of the wok it coated with oil
3. Add processed/blended radish, salt and pepper and stir fry it for 3 minutes
4. Turn down the fire to moderate . Cover wok and let mixture heat approximately 10 minutes or until radish is soft.
5. Place flour and water into a bowl. Stir til smooth.
6. Add soften radish into the bowl and stir it.
7. Steam in for approximately an hour.

To fry carrot cake : cut carrot cake into cubes then simply add oil, dried shrimp, garlic, (i added carrot instead of) bean sprout, eggs, sambal, thick black sauce, soya sauce, salt, pepper, and chinese sausage(optional). Add all these to own taste.

Spaghetti Carbonara

Spaghetti Carbonara
1 tablespoon butter
200g button mushrooms, sliced
1 cup cream
2 eggs
125g parmesan cheese, grated
1/3 cup finely chopped parsley
250g spaghetti, cooked
200g ham/ bacon, chopped

Methods:
1.Heat saucepan with butter . Add mushroom. Cook until soft
2. Fry bacon.
3. Combine cream, eggs, three quarters of the parmesan, parsley, and salt and pepper.
4.Place pasta into a saucepan. Add egg mixture, mushrooms and ham/bacon. Toss over low heat until sauce
thickens. Season. Serve with remaining parmesan.
5. Add milk if extra sauce is needed.

Hi guys! Sorry for not updating for quite sometime.

A week of CNY in msia was definitely great.
- ate lots of home-cooked hakka delicacies. * just thinking of it makes me drool-yum yum*
- lots of last minute gathering with school, tui and church frens :)
-collecting angpows is another fun part.
- learnt how to play cards. ( played for fun but NOT gambling )

After a week of cny, it was time to go back to uni. :( Yeah, flying back to perth the day before uni start( did i not mention 8 hours before class start) was a terrible idea but thinking back the time i had in msia makes it so worthy :)

What's happening lately?
-getting used to the new timetable which is a hectic.
     *hate wednesdays and thursdays (when phar lab is on)
-getting used to my new home.
     * long walks to uni.
     * first classes are all GP3 building and ANHB
-resigned from KFC
     * they had all new managers - what a shock
     * 9 hours per week is just too much to ask
     * takes up my entire saturday
- got a new job
     * tutoring chem to first year student in uni
     * $25 per hour - i like!
     * 2 hours per week.
- getting used to staying alone at home
    * no sister to disturb
    * housemates are too new to disturb
    * need to study more
- lost of cooking skills
    * ate too much kfc and pizza last year
    * msia hawker food is anytime,anywhere and its cheap compared to aussie food
- found out that 2nd yr is damn stressful even its just the beginning of the sem.
    * lots of new info to learn
    * and i cant find mircoorganism under a microscope!
- trying to loose weight
    * but its impossible. i am hungry 24/7

During cell, we were asked to share about this 3 questions. I didnt have time to give a good thought in cell but now i have!

1. What challenges do you see yourself facing this sem/year?
     - definitely STUDIES
        * didnt do well last year
         * aiming to go into quota restricted unit next year
    - Facebook
       * reduce time spent.

Singapore Trip

28th January 2010, Thursday- We took a bus from PJ to Singapore in the morning. Reached Novena Square around 1.30pm and had lunch there before heading off to Uncle's apartment in Bukit Panjang.

29th January 2010, Friday- Around 8 in the morning, I woke up and heard someone crying in the next room. Guess what? The little cousin doesnt wanna go to daycare. So she ended up eating breakfast with us in Fajar. After breakfast, uncle brought us to Sheng Siong for some food shopping and I saw this colourful tray of sweets with a green tiger in the middle, it looks so cute:) but i never buy la. Nice to see only

Then we had lunch in Jurong East~ uncle's favourite fish head shop. My aunty said they have been eating there every once in a week for about 10 years adi. Gosh, I don't think it taste great. After lunch, uncle gave us a lift to Choa Chu Kang. While we in the bank, my little cousin was so scare of the security guard she wishpered instead of talking. We asked her why is she so afraid of the security guard, she said "Because he got gun." We also asked her wat the difference between a security guard and a police. She said "Police wear hat, security guard never wear hat." LOL. Anyway, her mom met us there and my uncle brought her and my little cousin home. Parents and I went shopping instead and I got a new watch :D HAPPY!!!

30th January 2010, Saturday - I woke up late around 10am and parents already had their breakfast so they ta pau for me. After breakfast, we sent the little cousin to her chinese tuition class then uncle dropped us in Woodlands for more shopping. Mom and dad bought clothes for themselves while i bought hooks for my new room. Then we met up with both uncles( one frm Singapore and one frm Abu Dhabi) and family for lunch at Crystal Jade. Yummy yummy roast duck!

After lunch, my uncle from Abu Dhabi decided to go to Chinatown. I wanted to follow them so dad tagged along ( so that i wont have to go home alone later) This uncle loves durian a lot. He bought some durians before lunch. But since we werent supposed to eat in the shopping centre, we ate it after lunch outside the shopping centre, 4 boxes in total. And each had a coconut to drink as well.

Chinatown was so packed but the all the stalls sold similar things. It was either taiwan muah chee or singapore souvenirs or chinese tradition clothes. But it was fun to walk around :) In the end we had to take 3 mrt and a lrt back home.

31st January 2010, Sunday- We had dim sum for breakfast and went to IMM for more shopping. Uncle brought us to a $2 shop. Its called Daiso, a Japan shop. They sell all sort of things ~plates,pots,baking utensils,socks,belts,ties,toys,stationary,toiletrys,laundry,sewing kits,food....All for $2 (RM4.90) and its from Japan. I think we were in the shop for an hour or more, looking at Japan's invention. haha. Later that afternoon, we took a bus home :(

Overall, it was a fun trip. One thing i missed most is FREE CLEAN PUBLIC TOILETS!!! In Malaysia, we have to PAY to go into WET and STINKY public toilets?!?!

Sorry, i couldnt be there for you when you needed me. I slept super early last night and woke up in the middle of the night.Then, i searched for my phone to check the time when saw 2 missed call and a msg saying "Hi,I want to talk to you so if you see this call me. "It sounded pretty serious to me. So i pop out of bed to on my computer and true enough i found ur facebook status and ur blog updated with all ur sorrows. However, i am pretty amazed that you're still able to sleep after all . This proves that you're still a guy. Haha :p

I wanted to wait til morning to talk to you but that was not what God has in plan. haha. Mayb its more serious than i think. Anyway, guess what's the topic of my devotion today?

Wounded Lover : What God's power cannot accomplish. Hosea 11
" Many people think of God as an impersonal force,something akin(similar) to the law of gravity. By contrast, Hosea potrays God as a Person of passion,fury,tears,love-a God in mourning over his people's rejection.

God uses hosea's unhappy story to illustrate his own whipsaw(victimised) emotions. That first blush of love in finding Isreal, God says, was like finding grapes in the desert(9:10) But as Isreal breaks His trust over again and again, God endured the awful shame of a wounded lover. God's words carry a tone surprisingly like self-pity:" I am like a moth to Ephriam,like rot to the people of Judah'(5:12)

Love's Power and Powerlessness
The strong image of a jilted(rejected) lover explains why, in a chapter lik Hosea 11, God's emotion seem to vacillate so. God prepares to obliterate Isreal-wait now he is weeping, holding out open arms-no,he is sternly pronouncing judgement again. Those shifting moods seem hopelessly irrational, except to anyone who has been jilted by a lover.
Is there a more powerful human feeling than that evoked by betrayal?
Hosea and God demostrate in living colours exactly how it feels to love someone desparately, and receive nothing in return. Not even God, with all his power, can force a human being to love Him ."

Its alright to feel sad about it. God does, when His people disobey Him. But you still have to overcome those rejections.My advice- Turn to God for healing. God knows how it feels to be rejected. He has been through it much more than us. Talk to God about ur problems, it will make you feel better :)You asked why do girls always reject you? BECAUSE THEY AREN'T THE RIGHT ONE FOR YOU!haha :D

Fly from AS to Subang by Firefly on Saturday evening:) Koko picked us up at the airport and ate dinner, Bak Kut Teh near by our place. The truth is when i'm in KL i no longer have any sense of direction. haha. After dinner, we came home and rest.

Sunday morning, we woke up around 9 sumthing and attended the 11.00am service in SIB KL. After church, we went over to Aunty's place to visit grandma. And since Aunty taman is just oppostie Tropicana city, we headed over to have lunch.

Then we came home and took a rest before heading out to Uncle's apartment in Kota Damansara. Parents went in to clean the place while I sat on the couch looking around at all his decoration. The TV was so full of all kinds of decoration from vase to elephants to human statue.It no longer have any space for any new decoration. haha. And since we were out, we tapau nasi lemak home for dinner.

Here comes monday morning, I followed dad out to Tesco to do some groceries shopping. And i have to admit i am sorta addicted to nutrigen. haha. I have sorta lost count of how many bottles i have drink becauase some packaging comes with 5 bottles and while others have 6 bottles. Definitely more than 25 bottles in a month :D

Dinner time, mom cooked my favourite fried bihoon with stew pork from the can. Yummy yummy! I have tried to cook by myself but it doesnt taste lik hers.

Afterthat, dad bought me to SS2 to buy bak kua. On the way, we saw durian and soya bean milk so we bought them as well:)

Wednesday, we went to 1U for the movie, The Spy Next Door, parents say it wasnt that nice and the storyline was almost the same as The Pacifier. But i like it. I like all Jackie Chan movies because it always so funny :) Had Rotiboy after the movie and headed to Ikea for lunch and done some shopping there.

What's next? Parents warned me that they are going to stay at home all day tomoro:( It might be a good thing after all, I need to arrange my freaking timetable for uni. I dont feel lik going back to uni.

Mummy's birthday

13th January 2010- Its was mummy's birthday:) We left house around 8 in the morning for Penang. Immediately after we reached, we headed to our favourite beefball noodles stall for brunch. After brunch we went to Gurney GSC hoping to get tickets for movies since it was a Wednesday, Movie Day. When the counters were opened at 11am, we were the first few ones to que up but surprisingly AVATAR 3D was almost sold out throughout the day :( the only one left were the first 2 rows. We didnt want to pay for severe neck pain. haha. But it was a good thing dad decided to stay over a night so we bought tickets for the next day. So we did a little shopping while waiting for the 12 oclock Sherlock Holmes to start. Bought sock for flat shoes because i have smelly feet :p

Movie was pretty good. Holmes is an amazing scientist. His senses are super duper cool especially when he was blindfolded and brought to Mr Thomas' house. He knew exactly where his was by the sense of smell and sounds. He even asked Mr Thomas why did he took the trouble to blindfold him. LOL and he figure out how did Sir Blackwood fake his own death. :)

After the movie, we tookaway McD to YMCA, ate-nap-bathe-dinner with Uncle and family which destroyed our plan to gurney drive.

After dinner, we went back to Gurney for more shopping. When i said more, i mean MORE. haha. Spent over RM200 that day. Oops!

The next morning, we had curry mee in Pulau Tikus and went back,took a bath and pack our clothes. Then, we went to Gurney for our next movie. Avatar 3D. Nice:) But poor thing, the guy beside dad went off after awhile,not sure why,but dad was guessing that he didnt understand English that well and the movie was without subtitle. Malaysians probably still doesnt know how to create the "floating" effect of subtitles in 3D movies. or its just to troublesome. haha.

After the movie, we headed off for lunch. Then we stopped by Butterworth on the way home to Uncle Foo's dad's funeral. After an hour off sembang-ing, it was time to go home:)

Night time, Xin Jou and I went to pasar opposite Alor Star mall. Ate tawainese sausage- drank bubble tea- bought a dress and telephone wired rubberband for hair.

Ohya, about my grandaunty. She is recovering well :) On tuesday when i visited her, to my surprise, she sat with me in front of the television and watched a singapore drama for half an hour,ate 6 Julie's chocolate egg rolls,a Lexus cheese biscuit,a cup of ice cream, drank a cup of milo. Before and after a week of operation, she would only wake up to eat and then straight back to her bed to rest. And the amount she ate was half of wat she is eating right now. Thank God for answering my prayers and yours too( if you prayed along) :D

Now its time to pack :)

If you're in Malaysia right this moment, you should know about the churches attack. Yes, you're right! Three local churches have been attacked by fire-bombed- Metro Tabernacle Church in Desa Melawati, the Assumption Church in Jalan Templer, Petaling Jaya, and the Life Chapel Church in Section 17, also in Petaling Jaya. And according to Malaysia Kini, two other churches have received phone threats.

Jesus said :"Love you enemies". However before you can love ur enemies, first u need to FORGIVE them for their mistake. At this time of trouble, we christians need to show that our Almighty God is LOVE. So do continue to LOVE them and let them know that we are not troubled by these little things. Bombing churches? think about it, there are just buildings,man-made buildings.God does not live in man-made building, but HE LIVES WITHIN US! We do not need a church to worship him. We can worship him anywhere,anytime. Besides, God is our Provider, so we don have to worry about funds on rebuilding the church. We just need to have faith in Him:)

Thank God for the government acknowledging that its was wrong to bomb the churches:)

p/s: If we,non Muslim, were to be banned from using the word "Allah" , does that mean we are not allowed to sing our Kedah State anthem? Or are they gonna change the word Allah?

In my personal opinion on the usage of the word "Allah": I read in an article that Muslims are against non-Muslim of using it because they are afraid we misuse the word. It doesnt really much sense at all. The word " Allah " is used for worship. Don't they think that we non-Muslim respect our God? We do! How then are we misusing it?

Its been raining cats and dogs for these few days. Go away rain! I rather it freaking hot than wet.

This reminds me of a my funny little theory of thunder. As a little kid, i was very scared of thunders. I didnt scream or cry when i heard the loud and frightening sounds of thunders but i need to be with someone who comforts me. If it comes during midnights, i will run to my parents’ room and tuck myself between them. As i grew older, i remembered i ask dad what are thunders? and why does it sounds so loud? Dad told me 'Its because God is angry.' I silently accepted the answer but i didnt exactly understood it. I kept asking myself –Why is God angry? What is it about? Was it because me? What did i do wrong? So from that day onwards, i started praying for forgiveness every time there were thunders. Sometimes, I will keep on praying until it was over. But as year passed by, i do pray when there are thunders but i finally got the idea of God wasn’t angry at me alone. There are other sinners too. I thought to myself "After i pray, i’ll be fine." Slowly, i overcame my fear of thunders. However, i found a linked to my thunder story years after. It was during my Form5 year, I was having a conversation with Sam and it started raining so i decided to tell him about what my dad told me thunder was when i was a little kid and guess what? He told me that his dad told him, there is thunder because God is spanking all the demons’ butt. Suddenly, it made sense why God was so angry and where all the loud and frightening sound came from.

:D actually i still don't know what causes the sound of thunders? Do you?

An Unfortunate start

Each year, for most people, they look forward to a new year hoping for a brand new start. However, the start of my year seems pretty tough. I do not know what lies ahead but i definitely hope it will turn out alright(:

As i have mentioned before( a few post earlier) that my grandaunty had to undergo an operation. She finally got hers done on 31st December 2009. All of us were pretty nervous for her due to her old age. The doctors and surgeons have warned us about the post-surgical symptoms and one of them was she might not be able to wake up immediately after the operation. They said she might take days til she wakes up. So the night before her operation, i prayed a really long prayer for her. Prayed that her body is strong enough to be able to overcome the operation, prayed that she will be able to wake up after the operation, prayed that the anesthesia wouldn't be too strong on her,prayed for her to have confidence,to trust the surgeons to do a good job on her(because she was against it at first. Chinese in the olden days used lots of herbal medicine to cure themselves,so they wont go to the doctors unless it's emergency).... I prayed for every single person who was invovled in the operation, the anesthesiologist to have confidence in themselves to put the right amount of anesthesia for her and the surgeons' hands to be secure.

Indeed, the operation went really well that morning. She was the first patient that morning and to the doctors' surprise, she woke up at 1 sumthing in the afternoon. Moreover, i heard that she was pretty alert that afternoon. As soon as the numbness worn off, she started complaining that it was really really painful so the doctors gave her extra pain killers to ease her pain. So the next morning,they continued giving her pain killers to again ease off her pain. So when we visited her after church, she slept the entire time we where there. Even when the nurse,K, came to check her blood glucose level, K woke her up to let her know that K was going to poke a needle into her finger to take some blood sample, she opened her eyes to look at her and fall back to sleep immediately. So we when home earlier that day,letting her get her beauty sleep.

On sunday(3/1) we went to visit her again, this time she was so alert, she was like old times telling us stories of people who I don't even know about.( Huge family and i probably only know 10% of them) She just keep talking and talking and talking. And when they neighbour's(as in next bed) visitor saw her, my aunties told her that she was 91years old, they were so shocked because she looked so healthly and so cheerful. She didnt want to let us go home when visiting hours were over and the guard came up to chase us out. She kept asking us to stay with her but parents show the senior doctors scolding one the guards before in public because there were still quite a lot of visitors in the ward after visiting hours. So before we could cause anymore problems for the guards, we decided to leave.

*Some background so that u will be understand the next part of the story*
There were a few signs when they started giving her the extra pain killers, everytime the pain killer was injected into her body ,she will become slightly dizzy and just start to talk,anything that comes into her brain. When you talk to her, she won't respond. She is lik in her world of her own. My aunties were shocked when they first got to see these, but the doctors said its an side effect of the medicine and true enough after 15 minutes to an hour, she was back to normal.

Today(4/1) things started to get worst. She had insomnia(in my opionion),hence tired but couldnt sleep. And she wanted to go back so badly, she changed her clothes and was ready to leave anytime.but the doctors didnt say a word about when to go home. So she got really angry and started to scold everyone who was around her,even doctors. The doctors blame the medicine for her behaviour and they said all she need is rest right now. I have never seen/heard of her like that before. The one thing,we are afraid right now is that she loses her memories and wont be able to communicate with us anymore.

Many said that my grandaunty will leave up to 100 years( 91 this years) if she overcome this very obstacle in front of her and I believe she will:)

So do continue to pray for her. Pray that the side effect will be a short term one and that her body will return to normal. Pray for a miracle as well. Its really sad seeing someone so close to us but not yet a believer. What are we suppose to do? Especially the older generation have their tradition of praying to their ancestors, my hokkien is terrible and she is deaf one side. All of these are probably excuses but i ll keep on praying, for a miracle to happen.So let's pray together. One saved soul, and the angels in heaven will be celebrating:)

:) Its my summer vacation hence the lack of updates. I have been relaxing quite a lot and watch tonnes of movies til i lost count of them.However,life is not all that boring for me.LOL:D Here are some of the interesting things i done these few days.

1. Visited my little niece, Amanda :) She's so cute. At first, when we went to her house she was scare of us. She didnt even wanna look at us.haha. But later on she sat down in the living room playing all her toys,i slowly walked towards her and quietly sat down beside her and then we started playing.The most memorable part is that when her brother and sister took out the micheal jackson dvd and played all the songs, then the maid said to her "goyang!" and she started dancing. Oh boy, she loves to dance.

It was so difficult to take a picture of her because she kept moving around and the reaction of my phone was really down. In the end, her brother had to hold a sweet beside my head so that she would hold still and look towards me. haha

2. Visited my grandaunty and bake a chocolate fruit and nut cake.

BAKE A CHRISTMAS CAKE

* 8 ounces = 1 cup = 225 grams *

7 eggs

1 cup of flour

1 cup of butter

1 cup of caster sugar

1 tsp of baking powder

# leftover fruit and nuts chocolate ( 1 portion ~ 4 pieces)

1. separate the egg yolk from the egg white into 2 separate bowls

2. beat the egg white with a electric mixer until foamy

3. beat butter and caster sugar until creamy

4. beat egg yolk with mixture

5. beat egg white with mixture

6. add flour and baking powder

7. mix until creamy

8# separate mixture into 2 bowls

9# add 1 portion of chocolate into the first bowl and 2 portions of chocolate into the second bowl. Mix it

10. pour the mixture into a tin tray in ur own style.

11. bake it. ( we used a coventional microwave oven to bake the cake and all we need to do was to press the 'CAKE' button :D )

Its been almost a week since i landed in my home country:) I stayed in penang for another 4 days to attend the International Prophetic Conference by Dr. Paul Ang and enjoyed all the delicious food. I also met up with Andrea, Penny, Liz, Pheobe and Hazel. I didnt realised that it was so warm until yesterday when i arrived back home because for the last 4 days i have been surrounded by air conditioner everywhere-conference room, bedroom, shopping centre. But right now, i cant complain much. Perth is pretty warm as well, probably even warmer,in high thirties. Heat that burns one's skin. One thing i realised, my appetite has shrunk. Although, i kept complaining the portion of food placed in front of me have shrunk compared to the ones in Perth but i always satisfy myself with those little portion of food, never asked for more.Except for paricular night, i ate both wantan mee and char koay teow all in one go:) Met up with Jou,Kar Yan,Jia Yin, Ming How and Shih Chon last night at bali cafe. Howe and Dan today for dim sum.

P/s Msian really need to learn to keep their public toilets clean! Eww...the smell, the wetness makes me so sick. If i had a choice, i rather wait til i go home and pee.

One friday, Moe and I went to Scitech for some fun. It was fun indeed especially the plantenium show:)

I know that i haven been updating my blog quite frequently. that is because i have been working so much lately. 5 days a week. So damn tired. However,the good news is that i have finally ready to fly home to Msia! :) I will surely miss working and the people i worked with esp Sandeep :) but at the same time will appreciate and enjoy the free time for the next 2+ months before uni starts again. Tough year ahead :(

ps. if u're reading this and u're a Christian. pls pray for my grandaunty :) she sorta have a cancer growth in her large intestine ( probably colon cancer) that's blocking it but she doesnt want to operate and some of her grandchildren/children are against the operation because she is already 91 yrs old this year and they are afraid she wouldnt survive the operation. And we sorta distant relative have no say in what so ever. Anyway, do keep her in prayer. Pray for a miracle( growth disappear) will happen or we are able to convince her to operate, but most importantly for her soul:) thx!

hi :) its been a week since i last updated. I have been blown away by lots of problem. First off, i have been having so many problem with transperth until i got so sick of it and decided to walk home from the city instead of taking the bus yesterday. I called them a few time and complain to them that they have been charging me standard price ($2.04) instead of concession price($0.77). I practically argue with the guy on the phone. Because he kept telling me i haven validate my card on studentnet which i obviously did right after i bought the card. I really felt lik shouting at him but i controlled by telling i recheck my number on studentconnect. When i check it was the exact same number on my card.Arghh...... i so angry i didnt wanna talk to them anymore so i wrote them an email instead. Sis called transperth the next morning and this time he asked to check with uwa admin. We did so and thank God the lady was kind enough to take the matter in her hands and called transperth herself. So later than afternoon, everything was settled. I got back my concession status. At night, i received a reply from transperth so i told them everything was done and i asked for a refund because clearly i was my mistaken for not validating my card , it was transperth having some problem reading my full time status in uni. But it takes 3-5 working days for the refund. So now, i am still waiting for my refund. And today, i wanted to top up my card again but i didnt have enough cash with me. Anyway, so when i place my card on the machine. It read $2.50 but when i tagged off, they charged me $0.77 but the reminder was onli $0.64. Oh gosh, what the problem again? :'(

Secondly, i haved been taxed a lot lately. everyweek, half off my pay:( I can't really remember if i have given them my tax file number. but 60% yes i did. 40% mayb not. Hopefully everything can be solve before i head back to msia in 2 weeks time. I need all my taxes back!

Thirdly, i have lost my white gold necklace somewhere in the house for 3 week adi. Still cant seem to find it anywhere. Haiz. I remember i took it off just before i left for work. Where can it be? Come out ! come out! Wherever you are!

Last but not least.I cant decide which major to take.Everything seems pretty interesting to me eh.But i am sure i wanna do pathology of human oncobiology(cancer) cos who know maybe i'll be the one to find a cure for cancer *daydreaming*LOL but who knows? haha. anyway the problem is even though i am sure i wanna study about cancer,its quota restricted. It means they only provide 15 places of the entire course each year so that means i need to get REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY ABSOLUTELY ALMOST PERFECT RESULTS next year. oh gosh, dad telling me to trust in God and have confidence but i know its gonna be a tough and really competitve.The other options are pharmacology (55 places), mircobiology + immunology, genetics, biochem or physiology.

Lots of problem. Lots of worries. But you know what? Cast all your worries unto Jesus. He is a problem solver. He solve our problems in His Way, in His Own Timing. So no matter how much or how long we worry about it, it doesnt change anything. Our problem will always be there. And everytime we have a problem, we need to commit it to God and ask for His help :)

Lesson for the day is Stop worrying and surrender it to God! *A note to remind myself*

Its was yesterday when Joanna turned 19 years old. Some of us went to the city with her and ate at a korean restaurant. Probably my 3rd time in a korean restaurant and twice was steamboat and bbq. Just because we stay in Perth too long and the word spicy doesnt really mean anything to us anymore. We ordered every dish spicy and guess what? It was not ordinary spicy. it was extra spicy to me. I find my appetite really weird nowadays. During my exam period, i think i ate 5 meals per day but now when i m on holiday and i have plenty of time to cook i only ate once or twice per day in little portion. Anyway, it might be good as well. need to loose some weight! We had a great time chatting with each other especially its been awhile since we last saw each other:) Anyway, thanks for the invite at the last minute.haha.See you next year and i ll remember your birthday cupcakes:)

Long long time ago.............

When parents were still in perth, we went to sis' work place to eat dinner. And we got compliment desert,it's pear shaped ice-cream with fruits.It's so real, for a sec i really tought that it was a real pear. LOL.anyway,it was really Yummy! :)

We went shopping in harbour town because dad wanted to buy a jumper but after hours of shopping, as usual dad ended with nothing. However, we girls did lots of shopping. LOL. At that time, there were lots of winter clothing sales so i ended buying a jacket from Forever New with 30% off but since it is already summer. I ll have to wait til next year to wear it:( After all the shopping, i treated my parents with icey ice. Proud to have earn my own money. haha. And nowadays, i spent money like nobody business. This habit should stop! need help to manage my finance. LOL

We bought our parents to Fremantle eventhough i think mom goes to fremantle more often than i do. She has came to Perth countless time and every trip, someone will bring her to Fremantle. Anyway, we went and we saw this awesome potato thingy a group of taiwanese were making and mom wanted to try so we bought a stick to try. Its damn expensive though. AUD3.80 per stick. A kilo of potatoes don even cost that much. Lol but its quite yummy, its lik potato chips seasons with cheese:)A few minutes later, while walking and eating. We stopped by this stall as the man was doing a demonstration and he was selling the equipment to make the spiral shape in the potato and sis bought one. We shall try it one day and we can use the deep fryer to fry it.

Any who goes to fremantle without eating fish and chips?:P

I swear i didnt do anything wrong. but why are customer so grumpy and demanding? Its not fun working when you people come and scold us but we just cant do anything but to put on a smiley face for you! Is it our fault that 2 people before you just walked in unannounced with a huge order and they took away all the chicken that we had left, even the spare ones? And can you people don complain that its too expensive. Look at our faces, we are not the one was sets the prices. If its too expensive and you cant effort, take time to cook for yourself cos it will definitely save u lots of money. OR else can you pls listen to our suggestions?Lots of time its so much cheaper that what you just ordered. Just because of your stubborness you need to pay extra. And for goodness sake,is it our fault that you come at 20 minutes before closing, and u demand everything on the menu? Do you guys know where does all the food goes if they are not sold? IN THE BIN!!! So are we suppose to cook a whole bag of chicken for u when u order 2 or 3 pieces and throw the rest away? Isnt that just to wasteful? I know its call fast food but it doesnt really make sense when you don't wait to wait but you want it fresh? How can we do that? Good cooking takes time. So guys, can you do me a favour? Pls treat us nicely, we are always trying our best to make you happy but sometimes its just not possible because we are working under rules. So pls be a little bit more considerate next time when you're in a fast food restaurant.:) Although not all of you are like that, some are really understanding and super duper friendly. I don mind you laughing at me when i try to repeat your orders and sometimes my tongue just get twisted and my words get all mixed out. Making you happy makes me happy too plus it makes working really fun!:)

Hi guys! Exams are finally over! YEAH! big smile:D ( for now) haha. Many things has happen through the weeks. I lost my bankcard, studentcard and smartrider card two night before my exam but i really thank God i realised it the next afternoon. and i had time to redo my student card before my first paper which is 9am the following day. phew! i immediately cancel my bankcard and now i need to cancel my smartrider card and make a new one. Cos its holiday i need to go out dating with my girlfriends. haha. Besides that, i have finally found myself a new place to stay next year :) Went around to view a few place on Sunday and what a disappointment it was. The house was either too old, dirty or it has boys in it. :P ( not to say that i anti-boy but i rather stay in a all girl house) But yesterday straight after my last paper, we went to visit 2 room and we immediately fell in love with it. After a long discussion with sis and mom plus opinions from frens i finally decided on a room. I just confirmed with her today. moving in the new place on 27th nov. Today, i m also moving out from my current place. sob sob:'( and i realised one thing, i have damn lots of stuff -.-''' Right now i half way thru packing and i am so exhausted. Now, i understand why mom does not lik to move from house to house. Hence, the house back home is nearly 30 yrs.

Semester 2 has officially ended today which means exams are on its way. Its so near i dun even there to think about it. First paper is this coming thursday. And i m so not prepared. My parents just went back to Msia last Sunday and i have been procrastinating lately. Aww, I have so stressed, too stress to even study,

However, its a turning point tonight. I am so glad i went to cell instead of agreeing to go out for dinner with sis and nigel. During worship, someone said: God is always here with us. He will never leave us nor forsake us. Just before the worship ended , another person said: There's lots of fears and worries we might have but our God wants us to lay it down at His feet. And somehow that's what i really need to hear. I have awesome God who is the creator of the earth. He loves and cares for us so much that he definitely wont try to harm us. Why do we need to worry or fear for our lifes? My God is in control :) I really enjoys worshipping God these day. Its like my precious time i spend with God and He reminds me of the promises He has for us. As i worship Him, i feel lik i have no longer worries lik somehow i just sing out of my worries to God and He hears them. I found a cure for my stress :)

Do you have a God like that? :)

Anyway, I just wanna wished every UWA students :

Today i went to the library to do some studying. Although its not much but at least it’s something rather than nothing. I do not have plans for the rest of the week except chicken rice with old Nedlands on Saturday.

Here, i am confessing that restraining myself from facebook is really tough considering the amount of notification i received the last few days. Someone tagged me on a photo and wow there’s lots of comment. I didn’t tried reading the comment through the email because to me that’s the same as logging into facebook.

Parents are coming to perth in 3 days. Wow, that means i have only 4 more days on break and its back to uni for 6 weeks. Time really flies when we are so busy wasting our time.LOL

Finally holidays are here. I agree with Berwin here, its not actually a holiday more lik a lecture free week where we are suppose to take this time to do some catching up on the lectures we failed to attend jus because we were not in the mood for boring lecture. There's one thing that i total disagree with Berwin is that our summer holiday is a HOLIDAY for us. He said we should continue to study for next sem. He is mad! What are we suppose to study? I dun even know what units am i taking next year. Confirmed-madcase.

Last friday,sis and I were in charged of preparing refreshment. I failed to made my yummy shepherd pie. First of all, the potatoes weren't golden brown when we took it out from the oven because we were already super late for cell. Secondly, when we put it back in the oven in Hampden house,the meat was burnt at the bottom. Lastly, it was cold when we ate it=.= I ll try again next time.

Our church just started the season of prayer yesterday. The first day's devotion was to set out priorities right again. The question that really struck me was "Where do you spent most of your time on?" The first thing that came into my mind was facebook. Wel, that's so true. Everytime i on my laptop, the first website i ll go into is facebook.I even set it as my homepage. When i take the bus to work or during boring lecture, i logged into facebook by phone. As i reflect back, I realised that my quiet time has been strinking especially on nights when i am super tired from uni or work. I can just read through the scripture without processing the words in my mind and i ll say a short prayer before i go jump into bed. There's a thought has been popping out in my mind over and over again. If my bf were to spend such a short amount of time with me everyday, i ll definitely get angry. What about God? I dont think God will angry and scold us but He will feel sad for us. That's why i am fasting from facebook hopefully from this 21 days.(although, i think the devil has already tried to tempt me into logging into facebook. The amount of facebook notification i received for the last 2 days is approximately 50 but with God's strength i can do it! ) i should use the time i spent on facebook with God. What i want to see through this season of prayer is to enjoy my quiet time. Every morning when i wake up, I want to look forward to do my quiet time with God.

Yesterday,after church we had another cell and we ate steamboat for dinner before Rachel left for China. Poor Jessica allegric to seafood so all she ate was mushroom,tofu,beef and pork slices. We had a really good laugh, enjoyed the fellowship and playing mind games. Today we went to swan valley for wine tasting,chocolate factory and dinner at northbrigde. I didnt take a lot of photos though.i will upload the ones i took when i have free time.hehe.

Toodles! off to bed right now. Gossip girl Season 3 is coming out soon! And i have been watching to season 2 just to refresh my memories and preparing for season 3. LOL. And here's another thing i spent lots of my time. Watching tv series!

i thought of doing something special for her since we became very good frens in uni this year. Love you lots=*I was thinking of making cupcakes for u but i didnt have enough eggs at home. So i bake cookies instead. =) And thank God you lik it.( wel, i hope was she say was true and not jus to make me happy) I was telling myself, her mom can bake so well, my cookies sure taste lik shit to her. haha. How i wished my mom could bake to. Mom cooks well but she doesnt lik cooking though.

Yo peeps! :D

I know its been long since i last update my blog. Life has been pretty much busy with work, movies and studies. I am proud to say i have finish my Famlial Hypercholesterolemia essay today! :D but i still have mbc prelab, chem prelab, study for stat's test,calmeath,2 chem quizes and one week of uni life. Then, i will be able to enjoy my one week break. No, i am not going to work more during my free break. It will be as usual 2 shifts per week. So that i am able catch up on my beauty sleep and hang out with frens.

Parents are coming in exactly 2 weeks. the sad part is that all 3 of us arent able to pick them up from the airport and wont be able to see them until sunday. Cos we are all very busy ppl, besides they arent staying with us this time. So its up to aunties and uncles.

And i am still deciding when to go back to msia. Should i stay here to work and withstand the 40 degrees or go back to msia to hang out with frens? leave comments to help me decide pls?

Last night, all of us gathering in broadway fair at 630pm to buy our own dinner. Afterthat we left for matilda bay and wait for PRINCESS CAROL to arrive. The most changelling part of the entire night was to keep the candles lighted despite of the strong wind by the bay. We gathered around the table to prevent the wind from blowing our the light and everybody was talking around the cake. Wow, i m the cake was full of saliva but who cares we finished it anyway=)After surprising here. we sat down by the bay and ate dinner with a small lamp post to light the place so that we could eat our food without worrying what we put into our mouths.hehe. Ame said we look lik refugees who jus arrived perth sitting by the bay eating our dinner in plastic wears. LOL

Like i said before, i have very bad lab skill. And this was proven in my first ever chem lab for this semester. I broke a thermometer just because i was very happy to finish in time=.= I totally forgot to look at the thermometer while melting the naphthalene. And the worst part was, on friday's lecture, Dylan announce that lost of thermometer was broken yesterday(Thursday). I made me feel so guilty.Sorry bah!

Believe it or not?

God is in control of everything including my results. If i obey him, i pass with flying colours. Once i disobey him, I fail pretty badly. I always have to learn things the difficult way. Oh well, i failed my first human bio quiz for this sem. 4 out of 10=.= Desptire not going to church, i stayed back and spent the whole entire morning studying Locomotion and Cardiovascular System.

End result: I failed!
Lesson learnt: never disobey the boss up in Heaven!

Some years ago,on a hot summer day in South Florida , a little boy decided to go for a swim in the old swimming hole behind his house.In a hurry to dive into the cool water, he ran out the back door, leaving behind shoes, socks, and shirt as he went.

He flew into the water, not realizing that as he swam toward the middle of the lake, an alligator was swimming toward the shore. His father, working in the yard, saw the two as they got closer and closer together.

In utter fear, he ran toward the water, yelling to his son as loudly as he could. Hearing his voice, the little boy became alarmed and made a U-turn to swim to his father.
It was too late. Just as he reached his father, the alligator reached him. From the dock, the father grabbed his little boy by the arms just as the alligator snatched his legs..

That began an incredible tug-of-war between the two. The alligator was much stronger than the father, but the father was much too passionate to let go. A farmer happened to drive by, heard his screams, raced from his truck, took aim and shot the alligator.

Remarkably, after weeks and weeks in the hospital, the little boy survived. His legs were extremely scarred by the vicious attack of the animal. And, on his arms were deep scratches where his father's fingernails dug into his flesh in his effort to hang on to the son he loved. The newspaper reporter who interviewed the boy after the trauma, asked if he would show him his scars. The boy lifted his pant legs. And then, with obvious pride, he said to the reporter, 'But look at my arms. I have great scars on my arms, too. I have them because my Dad wouldn't let go.'

You and I can identify with that little boy. We have scars, too. No, not from an alligator, but the scars of a painful past. Some of those scars are unsightly and have caused us deep regret. But, some wounds, my friend, are because God has refused to let go. In the midst of your struggle, He's been there holding on to you.. The Scripture teaches that God loves you. You are a child of God. He wants to protect you and provide for you in every way. But sometimes we foolishly wade into dangerous situations, not knowing what lies ahead.. The swimming hole of life is filled with peril - and we forget that the enemy is waiting to attack. That's when the tug-of-war begins - and if you have the scars of His love on your arms, be very, very grateful. He did not and will not ever let you go. Please pass this on to those you love.. God has blessed you so that you can be a blessing to others. You just never know where a person is in his/her life and what they are going through. Never judge another person's scars, because you don't know how they got them. Also, it is so important that we are not selfish, to receive the blessings of these messages, without forwarding them to someone else. Right now, someone needs to know that God loves them, and you love them, too enough to not let them go. Always Tell Your Family And Friends How Much You Love Them!!!

It think it was last last Sunday, we had steamboat together as a house with better and fresher food. Fish,prawn,squid,scallop and oyster. Yummy!

Last tuesday, i work til closing time. So i had 2 full boxes of KFC(popcorn chicken,nuggets and chicken). So sick of KFC right now!

Its the second day of uni and i m feeling so tired adi. I need time to sleep!!! I was kinda surprise to know that we had lab in the first week and as for me, i haven been writing report since nov 2007. Today i had to write my first experiment reports in Perth and i think i did pretty well. Lab is all the way in Queen Elisabeth II Medical Centre. A 15 minutes walk from the main campus. It pretty stupid that OLCR only printed a 2 hours instead of 3 hours lab. I had to miss STAT first lecture today but sis was kind enough to go and sit in for me. Wel, i tot that he would give us the unit outline but he didnt.I did manage to go into the lecture 8 minutes before it ended but i didnt understand a word he said.So i have some ilecture to catch up on before tomoro's lecture. Anyway, here's some update of how i spent my last days of holiday.

Before Moe and Ivan went back home, we had dinner with them-steamboat.

Saturday morning, they rented a van to move their belongings to various fren's house. After we got the van, we stop at Hungry Jacks for breakfast.

I had korean bbq and steamboat for dinner yesterday in Vic Park. $39 per person. We ate from 830-1030pm. The restaurant was suppose to close at 10pm but we greedy people kept on eating and couldnt stop.LOL
